K-W Massage Therapy - Experience Matters

A Proven Methodology
As an experienced RMT who has been practicing for over 16 years in Waterloo Region Ken has developed a three-pronged approach to massage therapy.

1.  Improved Physical Performance ("Prepare for Tomorrow") - All treatments are performed with the ultimate goal being improved physical performance.  Regular treatments combined with a comprehensive self-help program will help you maintain peak physical performance.  Whether you're an office worker or an elite athlete Ken will work to help you reach your own optimum level of physical performance.  This is Ken's first line of treatment.

2.  Injury Treatment and Management ("Recover from Yesterday") - Whether you're an elite athlete or tend to be a bit more sedentary, accidents do happen.  It is important to treat injuries quickly and effectively to help you recover quickly and retain optimum physical performance.  A variety of rehabilitation techniques designed to help you recover quickly are applied as needed.

3.  Relaxation and Stress Management ("Deal with Today") - A feeling of relaxation is generally a byproduct of any massage, but when the need arises specific relaxation techniques combined with stress management and relaxation coaching will help you stay focused and refreshed.  This is a focal and integral part of all treatments provided by Ken.

Ken also provides treatments for a wide variety of degenerative physical diseases like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, muscular dystrophy, and fibromyalgia.

It is important to realize that soft tissue needs to be guided through a growing process and it takes a positive influence over time.  Because Ken is skilled at coaching you on a wide variety of self-help techniques the time component of your recovery or ongoing maintenance does not necessarily translate into an increased number of treatments.

“You will always be your own best therapist so the more work you do the less someone else should have to do for you.  The trick is to learn what to do, how, when and most importantly why; I will help educate you in better use and development of your soft tissues, but it is a good idea to get hands on treatment that is either difficult or impossible to do yourself.  This will improve your chances for successful healing and reduce risk for future problems.”

“Although I firmly believe that regular massage should be a component of everyone's active life style, I only encourage people to seek treatment if they feel they are getting positive results.  You will find that I am very supportive and empathetic whenever you choose to come in for a treatment.”

Regular treatments combined with a self-help program will help you feel, look, and be better.  Call Ken Roche RMT for an assessment and appointment today.
